Partner information WP6 concerns the Provision of Localized Magnetic Field having a complex geometry. This requires the specialist
expertise of Metis Instruments & Equipment an SME technology leader in industrial and scientific magnetic systems, providing a complete range of solutions for the manufacturing industry: magnetizing equipment,
diagnostics & quality control systems and co-engineering & consultancy
services. Their expertise in the field of research magnet systems has been of vital importance in the development of a new generation of industrial
magnetizers. This superior magnetizing technology enables engineers and product developers to design electromagnetic devices that require higher fields, larger volumes or more complex field
geometries in the magnetizing process. This is an indispensable addition to the project enabling the realisation of an innovative field design into a state-of-the-art product. In addition to its industrial activities, Metis provides research magnets, and associated ancillary components and subsystems for pulsed field research installations,
such as low noise pulsed power switches, current limiting inductors, control systems, test & measurement equipment, cryogenics and advanced research magnets. The product range includes:Capacitor Discharge,
Magnetizers, Half Cycle Magnetizers, DC Magnetizers, Magnetizing Fixtures, Diagnostics & Quality Control Systems, Integrated Diagnostics for Magnetizing Equipment, AC magnetic properties testers, Fluxmeters,
Gaussmeters, Research Magnets, Pulsed Field Research Infrastructure, Pulsed Power Components, Current Limiting Inductances, Thyristor Stacks, and High Current Switches. This expertise and experience will
allow Matis to fulfil a vital role in the project –The provision of magnetic field equipment for the instrument. Their in-house field design capabilities are an essential requirement in providing a bespoke magnetic
system with the required flux pattern modulation and density while fulfilling the low power consumption requirements of a portable instrument. www.metis.be |
